Karthik Calling Mature Audience!

I somehow managed to grab hold of the movie Karthik Calling Karthik. Not here to provide you with another movie review coz it might simply spoil the suspense of the film. But its sort of an open fact that intelligent films don't work in India and I have a feeling that this film might also go unrecognized. It almost kills when movies like A Wednesday, Aamir, Mumbai Meri Jaan etc fail to grab public attention and on the other hand Singh Is King is entitled highest grosser ever! Indeed times have changed and small and quality films are being noticed.

KCK is taken up an issue which as far as my knowledge goes no bollywood movie has ever touched before. So its kind of fresh yet I won't call it brilliant coz it fails to grab complete viewer attention. Trust me I have watched this movie with a maniac audience so try and watch the this movie with a neutral mind. And if you are as intelligent as me you might find out the suspense before it comes out :P

P.S I have a soft corner for Farhan Akhtar o_O

P.P.S And I also think he is hot! ;)

  1. And I think the movie is so so wonderfully directed. Deepika looks stunning and Farhan is at his best. A great theme too!

  3. Few of my friends were of the view that even though the whole concept is very griping the movie could have been done much better. They were reminded of Bruce Wills in some show.

  4. Agree with you completely :)
I also feel that the audience is really lacking the sense of appreciating the real art :)

  6. the only reason i cud tolerate the movie, was coz i think farhan is hot. and deepika was lookin good too. but her actin?yuck!!1 farhan's acting-cool :) the movie was too much of a chewing gum. songs were really good. but climax was crap. i mean, im a medico. so portrayin schizophrenia like that, made us lose our mind there!!!

  13. To be frank, i guess, mostly, its only the girls that make some good films to flop! Neither they let their family members or boyfriends to go to such movies, nor go themselves. So u c, somewhere u too share a contribution!

  28. I couldn't help but think it could've been more sensitive to the disorder. It almost made people with MPD look scary! Wrong message but I'm glad that it was addressed :)

  30. Totally understand the feeling when you say that good movies tank here. I guess its because its not marketed as well as the others.Watched Manorama Six Feet Under recently and missed not watching on the big screen, partly coz i didn't even know the movie hit the theatres!! anyways haven't watched the KCK will do !:)
